- Aubrey Van Kirk Villalobos is the Cancer Educational Outreach Coordinator for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Villalobos graduated from Bates College in Maine with a bachelor’s degree in biological chemistry. Her education included studies at the Institute of Molecular Biology in Copenhagen, Denmark, and at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia. After graduation, she volunteered in Ambato, Ecuador, teaching English at a public university.
Before joining St. Jude, Villalobos taught ninth grade biology and led the community service organization at Hutchison School in Memphis. She has been coordinating the St. Jude Cancer Education Outreach Program since 2009, which has reached more than 2,500 students in 12 schools. She is also co-investigator and coordinator of a research study to formally evaluate the school-based outreach program at the elementary school level. In 2011, Aubrey received her Masters in Education from Christian Brothers University in Memphis, Tennessee.
